ArcelorMittal and at least one Brazilian steel maker are understood to have done deals involving close to 2mt of hard and semi-hard Queensland coking coal supplies in the current quarter at prices ranging from around $265/t to $305/t FOB after slashing deliveries in the world financial crisis of 2009.
